We warmly welcome you to Historic Augusta, Missouri, a Town for All Seasons, spectacular scenery, and a touch of European like countryside spotted with vineyards and farms.

Augusta is a small town nestled in the bluffs and rolling hills off of Highway 94, the Missouri River and Katy Trail.

Located in the southern most tip of St. Charles County, Augusta is only 35 miles from St. Louis and 15 minutes away from Washington via the Bottom Road.

Seasons of Augusta History

Laid out in 1836 and incorporated in 1855 by German immigrants. Augusta celebrated its Sesquicentennial (150 Year) Anniversary June 17-19, 2005.

Augusta has been touched by many seasons in history including:

  • Lewis and Clark Expedition of Discovery
  • Native American Habitation
  • The Civil War
  • The Vineyards
  • Daniel Boone and Spanish Land Grants
  • German Migration
  • Riverboats
  • Railroads & Mining

And yet, we have maintained our charm and quaintness.

Seasons of the Year

Our Spring Gardens invite you to capture beautiful photographs of our early herb and flower gardens.

Magnificent Sunsets and Summer gardens, some lit by the moon, make for relaxing and dreamy evenings. Children playing on the playground and families picnicking on the Town Square, and our other Augusta Park is great for flying kites or throwing freebies.
